Join us on Sunday, September 29th for a day of printmaking & zine making at SafeArt in Chelsea, VT.

PRINTMAKING CLASS | 11 AM - 2 PM
We will learn how to create simple block prints from start to finish. First we will get inspired in magazines & SafeArt's garden for imagery. We will then design and transfer our image onto rubber blocks. Next we will carve using small gouges. Finally we will print!

Bring a lunch or snack if you do both classes! There will be a 30 minute break for resetting.
Note: the zine class is included in the fee but optional for those who cannot attend a full day workshop.

ZINE MAKING CLASS | 2:30 - 4 PM
There will be instruction on how to make simple, reproducible, and shareable art booklets called "zines." This will be an "open studio" style session where we can use our freshly carved prints right into a zine! We will have collage supplies, a typewriter, plus markers, paints, and stamps for creating our booklets.

No experience necessary. This is a beginner friendly workshop. Experienced printers and zinesters welcome. All materials included.
