"Late Summer" Print

this print was inspired by the way these four plants, native to my local area, blend their purple and yellow blooms in the landscape during the late part of summer. the text is a nod to poetic textbook descriptions & vintage wildflower guides.

the text reads: “FIGURE 1. ASTERACEAE FAMILY Four wildflowers native to eastern North America that fill open fields and woodland meadows with hues of yellow and purple during the late summer months. Clockwise from top right: the fluffy explosions of Goldenrod (Solidago), the sharp-spined rockets of Coneflower (Echinacea), the sunny targets known as Black-Eyed Susan (Rudbeckia), and the dreamy tufts of towering Joe-Pye Weed (Eutrochium).”
More Details

each one of these pieces is an original print done by typesetting letterpress fonts + carving a linoleum block to make a relief print. they are set together in a vandercook press, then printed using black ink.

some prints are crisp + full of ink while others are more faded. printing is beautiful because of this!

these are available in a variety of shades of sturdy paper. the paper was upcycled so i do not have more details but i am assuming it is all acid-free.

every print available is an unframed original; they are all signed + dated in pencil.
